And on a related note, I had dinner at Portillo's. I even raised a glass in honor of IBeDrummin

. One of the few fast food places that can compete with Chick-fil-a as a fast food leader.

i'd be interested to see what taylor swift could do as an artist like joni mitchell or bob dylan. just her and her guitar. but she likes working with people who can make super pop hits.

if you muck your hand, it's dead. if he didn't muck his hand, he wins. he doesn't have to show it. any unmucked hand beats any mucked hand. i've accidentally mucked the winner before.

and there is no rule about people lying about what is in their hand. people can say pretty much whatever they want. i think the only verbally binding things are bet announcements

I think announcing your hand incorrectly to make your opponent fold is clearly angleshooting. Though obviously you should always protect your hand and not just muck your cards because he announced something.

but depending on the floorman, you could get wildly different rulings. i've seen some incredible rulings. you can usually appeal to a superior floorman, but they wont always reverse the ruling

One of the first times I played live i had missed my straight draw and the river checked through. I jokingly announced i had "the nuts 5 high" and flipped over my 5 high. The player to my left mucked his hand and the other player flipped over a 6 for trips but throws the other one. The dealer then mucks his hand because he didn't show both cards and awarded the pot to me. I gave the money to the guy who showed a 6 but learned not to **** around at showdown.
