They think "w" is a vowel, and also that "dd" and "ff" are distinct letters. It appears to be quite the silly place.

From my (woefully inadequate) understanding of post-Roman history of Britain, the English are invaders who tried to inflict vowels upon everyone, and the Welsh have proudly resisted colonization's efforts to make their language readable for 1500 years

those are weird notations for normal sounds (to english speakers)

The chrome extension was sold by the developer and the new owner inserted a bunch of malware. People are talking about their instagrams and other social media accounts being hacked.

I see Google has now globally disabled the extension.

I think I want to spend a few weeks in Thailand, but not for any perverse sex stuff mind you. I've never been to Asia, seems like a pretty good time when they have almost no covid over there. But I'll have to get my passport renewed first, probably have to get shots and whatnot too. My beloved USA seems intent on turning itself into a richer version of Venezuela, yeah good luck with that.
