10k is more than I've spent on 8 cruises + all the flights and hotels this year...., + possibly even my entire summer stay in Las Vegas..

That seems like a lot for a mattress..

I can't do the Hawaii thing because, as it turns out, land is quite expensive there and I will need about a milly to do what I want to do.

New Zealand is still in the cards. Also possibly some spots in the Caribbean that we'll be checking out in December.

I really still want my bog, but then I started wanting to always be in warm weather, and I've been advised that a warm weather bog is just a brain amoeba waiting to happen, so... sigh

What if it's a bog in a desirous winter locale that you could rent out when it's cold for exorbitant prices & enjoy during the warmer seasons?

This is probably a terrible recommendation, but I am definitely not a bog expert.

I'd be interested in something like a bog in a desirous winter locale that is rented out enough to cover its own carrying costs, and whatever profit is generated is used toward operating a community food pantry out of the basement or barn or something like that. Then I could possibly stay there part of the year with a clear conscience..

Wow. Filthy. I have always been able to find a comfortable mattress for between $1000 and 1500, and they are always on sale. I almost bought one for 3k, and could have lived with that. But 10K? What magic things does this 10K mattress do?
