Just bring $x, start below $x, & if negotiations ensue from there & they do not seem amenable to $x or less, pull out $x & say that's all I have with me & I'm absolutely not coming back later, so glgl.

Question is, what should $x be. Depends on how much you want the car. You could always put a few hundred in another pocket too if plan A doesn't work...

guess how much i paid for the car.....

sticker was 5900. after all the fees and taxes and everything, sticker total was ~6873

btw, the beverly hills mercedes dealership was full of million dollar cars and celebs. in one back corner of a hidden showroom was my pos car surrounded by luxury. it was literally the only car there that was less than 40k

i paid in cash and was short 1.22. i pulled out change to make up the last bit and the dealer said "that's ok" i saved an extra 1.22!!!! woo hoo!!
