03-02-2016 , 04:55 AM
I was supposed to go watch that with Ice. She went without me.

I decided to try and get them all wrong.

I imagine that's a much easier prospect than trying to get them all right!

Ugg. There are one million different opinions online on whether I am going to lass or not and not knowing is driving me nuts. Slept terribly last night

Some things are in our control and others not. Things in our control are opinion, pursuit, desire, aversion, and, in a word, whatever are our own actions. Things not in our control are body, property, reputation, command, and, in a word, whatever are not our own actions.

The things in our control are by nature free, unrestrained, unhindered; but those not in our control are weak, slavish, restrained, belonging to others. Remember, then, that if you suppose that things which are slavish by nature are also free, and that what belongs to others is your own, then you will be hindered. You will lament, you will be disturbed, and you will find fault both with gods and men. But if you suppose that only to be your own which is your own, and what belongs to others such as it really is, then no one will ever compel you or restrain you. Further, you will find fault with no one or accuse no one. You will do nothing against your will. No one will hurt you, you will have no enemies, and you will not be harmed.

Or, if you prefer pithier Epictetus:

Don't demand that things happen as you wish, but wish that they happen as they do happen, and you will go on well.

I'm sure kioshk will be along shortly with a helpful Nihilist Arby's quote.
03-02-2016 , 11:27 AM
The problem is that I probably did have some control, but I didn't do anything about it because I didn't think I would even have a problem

Clash Royale is now up worldwide

Anyone who likes Hearthstone and/or Clash of Clans should get in on this. Pretty fun pvp card-based tower defensy game

We need to get a POG clan going so we can start pooling cards back and forth

Well then all I know to do is cast the i-ching:

Hexagram 35: Aspiration

Fire over Earth

Constantly honing and refining his brilliance, the Superior Person is a Godsend to his people. They repay his benevolence with a herd of horses, and he is granted audience three times in a single day.

Promotion.

I don't think I could afford to feed a herd of horses

There's a short list of things about which to never trust internet opinions:

Literally everything.

Well yeah, but there aren't even any good actual scientific studies to answer my question. I think my big worry is that I'm fat. It seems to store longer that way. I ended up wracking my brain and counting back and the last time was one 5 MG drop on January 2nd. Nearly 60 days ago.

I broke down and bought an OTC test which came back negative. Should totally put me at ease right? It hasnt.
03-02-2016 , 12:14 PM
That's probably not quite true, but I'm pretty confident that, along with standardised testing, diseases, and anything that can go wrong with your pet, internet discussion about drugs tests only really exists to allow people to panic in groups.

5mg is like nothing. 20 is a more normal dose afaik. I recently ate an entire 180mg chocolate bar. Had some trouble getting up off the floor for several hours but besides that I was aight.

180 for a chocolate bar is pretty potent. I get 100 MG packs of mints that are sorted into 20 5 MG doses. 40 bucks, lasts about a month. Thag must have been an expensive ****ing candy bar
03-02-2016 , 12:28 PM
It was a kiva bar, $50.

I left some corned beef sitting out overnight. Going to eat it today.

Also bought a brisket from Costco and made a bunch of corned beef. So good. Never made my own before
