So, we just had a nice long chat.

She's pretty agitated and feels like she has no independence when I start worrying about her. She said she didn't want to hang out tonight because it doesn't make her feel very joyful to think about us being together tonight and talking about all of these things.

She told me that she sees me as her 'relaxation time', but its impossible for her to enjoy her time with me and relax when she knows I am constantly worried about her.

She doesn't want to break up or anything, but she definitely needs some space right now, and from what you guys have said, I should definitely do that, and let her come back to me when she is ready. I told her I was sorry for putting her through so much today, and she apologized back and said she felt the same way.

She also mentioned that it frustrates her how much I delve into every single conversation analytically/philosophically, and that it puts too much strain on her. I don't know what to do about that, because thats just how I operate.

I told her I would stop worrying about her so much, and I aim to do that. If any of you have any pointers on how not to worry about small things all the time, please let me know.

This is an excerpt of what she said:

"OK. I would like to talk about this in person too. I'm just concerned that the entire thing will turn into worries again.... like most of our conversations have for the past week. Instead of being constructive they are perpetually stuck in nowhereville. you end up feeling better, which is GREAT! But I feel drained. I'm not good at handling worries, at least of that caliber. Or at least not so strong of worries. That's the communication bridge I'm scared that we're on."

not sure i'd ever say preggers - it's no easier than pregnant and much stupider.

So where do I go from here? Do I just stop thinking about her entirely until she comes back? What are the chances of this actually working out okay in the long run, and what can I do to improve those chances?

Anytime you have an urge to worry about her and have an analytical conversation about something she said just come here first, post in pub, we'll all tell you that you shouldn't do it, and then you won't

Problem solved

just relax and be normal, everything will be alright

i have a problem with this sometimes myself (major shocker amirite) so i have to make a concerted effort to keep things simple for the sake of blending in with the rest of society.
