Completely true story, I had a legitimate stalker. The real kind. One of her stunts involved crazy time with a car. Was terrifying.

i had a stalker too. it was terrible, but maybe not as bad as yours. mine was just in high school.

I won't do all of it but: I slept with a person a few times and decided that was a terrible idea to continue doing, and she thus decided that if I wasn't going to pay attention to her on my own terms she was going to force me to. This included a lot of stuff, including a fake pregnancy, fake cancer, fake suicide (this involved paramedics, firemen and cops because I received the suicide note and tried to do the right thing), a restraining order, interfering with the bar I bartended at, etc.

Perhaps the single most disturbing moment though was trying to get me to get in a car when she was, to my experience, completely manic after cutting me off on my way to work, and then when I didn't get in seemingly trying to hit me with it, though she was adamant she never intended to get "so close" to hitting me.

I believe her 0%, mostly because she had to accidentally clip a curb to get as close to me as she did.

I will add that police are extremely reticent to do anything when men complain about women, especially when the woman is young, attractive and harmless looking.

It's not fair, because the reality is that as a somewhat large guy I can't do anything physically to protect myself while she's basically allowed to do whatever she wants so long as no one witnesses it firsthand.

I learned to stand facing away from her with my hands locked together in front of me so that misinterpreting who the aggressor was was completely impossible. I also learned to "let" her physically control me by dragging me, in one instance, down a crowded street with me walking backwards and not looking at her but not pulling away, so that I wouldn't somehow drag her onto the ground. I believe she would have immediately pressed charges, if she could, for anything, just to force me to maintain some connection to her in our lives.

Not in this state of mind....
