There's going to be some inconvenience had by some combination of the two of you - there's no reason that it should be you that takes it all since she's essentially the cause of it, but equally it doesn't sound like you've been in a hurry to get shot of the bed so a bit of give and take greases the wheel.
Fair enough, might be a bit tilted since it's a good mattress and I was hoping to avoid the hassle. I gave away my old mattress before moving, they don't retain value well after a move...

it's life changing good. the store is not that far from your house. you can go in and try them out.
let me know if you go. i think they give referral bonus
Seems a bit extravagant for me, maybe for my dog though
How big is the referral bonus? My last mattress was 4 seasons and I got it for 10% of retail through a friend's employee discount. If you get something like that I'd go for it and split the savings with you!
I'm a bit sceptical that spending >5k on a mattress can actually be good value but I'll at least stop by since it's right next to me. We need a mattress expert in here (biggerboat?).
I'm also not sure how long I'll be here, but it's almost certainly not permanent which impacts my price range.

This might be a move, rotate beds every three months
or at least grab one now so she can take her bed while I look for something
