I play Bejeweled 2 for 2 or 3 hours each and every day. It's almost like I'm addicted! The bright vibrant colors, the geometric shapes, the glorious special effects as things explode and move around. You might say it really sets my heart a-racing.

Probably eons out of date, but I'm loving the Zelda version on the Switch. It's gorgeous.

They say that Zelda turned F. Scott into a broken drunk husk of a man with her incessant nagging and mind games.

Just imagine what she could have done with video games!

I'm currently playing Skyrim VR. It's fun to just walk around and to marvel with how real the world looks.

BTW, for all newspaper type puzzle lovers, take a look at the phone app PuzzlePage. Totally quick fun for those 10 minutes of downtime that you can find here and there.

Oh, and Kerbal Space Program and Minecraft are obvious top tier requirements.

Hey Filthy,

Your girl Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is beating Margot Robbie in her bracket for Ms. OOT 2018. She even has kioshks vote!

She's getting a ton of the Politics forum crossover vote.

Many in OOT are so triggered by her inclusion (and that she's winning) that it will probably be the last one ever.

that's great!

I just read some of that OOT thread. Don't know why, I knew it would be AIDS.

Looks like the politards were soliciting a bunch of votes from another forum becuase they thought it would be funny to "troll the MAGAtards".

Who are the pathetic ones again?

I'm less than an hour away during no traffic. Straight down the 5 freeway. San Juan Capistrano, just north of San Clemente.

I've been to the Nixon library in Yorba Linda about 30 minutes from there.

Are you anywhere near the Huntington library? I'm vaguely of s mind to try to get after a grant there in the next few years

I assume you mean the Huntington library in Pasadena. It's a small drive from where Filthy lives. It's also pretty close to Caltech.

They're super famous for their gardens and artwork. A great place to visit for an afternoon.

That's the one. Apparently they might have some stuff that relates to what I'm going to work on in the next few years and it looks like a great place to work for a while.

LA is fricking paradise. my favorite city on the planet that i have been to.

pros:

stunningly beautiful weather
fantastic food
everything is open late, often 24 hours
tons of artists and weirdos
beaches
most beautiful women in the world
tons of cinematic history
celebs of all kinds, gangsters, crazy ass town

cons:

traffic almost non stop
bad air, but not too bad
bad tap water
the non stop sunny warm days get a bit weird after a while
helicopters

You're out here complaining about too many sunny warm days.

I'm dragging bag after bag of bowling balls inside so they don't crack in the cold weather.

Hi pog, hi pub.

Today is Richard Nixon's birthday! One of the most compelling characters in American history, perhaps even world history. There was only 1 Nixon, baby! Thank God we still have his head in a jar somewhere.
