OMG, I've finally killed the Ender Dragon in Minecraft!!! I played this character 100% in VR. Wow, what an experience.

I probably died 150 times.. I had the dragon down to a couple percent of life and started playing round. (Collecting dragon breath) I got killed and when I came back the dragon was fully healed. Ugh, so I had to grind him down again.

I read the whole poem at the conclusion. Nice.

Oh and I can't imagine fighting the dragon without a bow with an infinity enchantment.

Infinity bow is the only thing I get mad at losing.

i killed the dragon for the first time since they made it hard yesterday too.

I was all stocked up and went in with all my good stuff. platform was away from the end island and the dragon hit me into the void within 20 seconds.

ended up just running in there with blocks pillaring up and killing myself on the crystals like 100 times.

lol, nice coincidence! When I first showed up at the End, I put down an Ender Chest and a normal chest on the platform. The dragon then proceeded to toss me a 100 feet into the air and I went splat. Well when I got back both chests were destroyed. Ugh. After doing a bit of googling I learned to never place anything on the platform because the game clears it on every return. Oops.

The first thing I did was pillar up to the two caged crystals and take them out. Then dug a bunch of tunnels underneath the pillar area to get bow shots on the remaining crystals.

It was definitely a learning experience. I think I can do way better next time.

Now time to burn all that experience on enchantments before I get myself killed. Then off to the outer islands!

I gave up Minecraft when they added horses and the more complex crafting to pocket edition. I much preferred it simpler l

You realize that the game complexity hasn't really changed. They made a some stuff easier (crafting). And added more depth by putting things in the oceans and added more types of animals. But the standard mechanics are still mostly there. Well at least until a phantom finds you and gives you a real life heart attack.

I loved the earlier Zeldas. The fun factor is so high with them. Awesome.


I'm also playing Skyrim in VR. After installing some mods, that game is the closest thing to a holodeck with current technology. The world is beautiful. I look forward to walking from one village to another. So amazing, so immersive.

When I show Skyrim VR to my friends and relatives, all you hear are ooh's ahh's and gasps while they look/move around. hehe.

since moving to LA, a place where i actually need air conditioning, when it's winter i just pretend like it's free AC all over the place. right now in my bedroom i got the window open, and it's like i got the AC cranked up super high

This may be super obvious to many of you but I was at a wedding today and got to witness a couple "tying the knot". I've heard the expression a million times but it never sunk in what it actually meant. Today, I got to see it happen.
