Filthy, have you ever heard of "Weighted" blankets? I saw them for sale on Amazon earlier today and thought that was a fairly strange name. Well, I just came across this article this evening:

Interesting imo. Sounds like the perfect accessory for a $10,000 bed.

So the new house we're moving to is much bigger than the previous one and so we're gonna buy a bunch of new stuff.

Would be interested on a few thoughts about what sort of stuff to look for in:

-TV
-Desktop Computer + Accessories
-Computer Desk + Chair
-Wardrobes
-Sofas/Armchairs
-Vacuum Cleaners
-Washer/Dryer
-Fridge Freezer
-Fridge
-Super King Bed (not gonna spend 10k on it)
-Large Dining Table
-Shelving

Probably a bunch more stuff, but that's what's coming to mind now

xander, not sure what stores you have over there. When my wife and I retired we bought ikea for just about everything for the new house.. Bed frames, dressers, end tables, night stands, tv stands, bookshelves.. We went with Hemnes brown/black. I was putting stuff together forever, but it was all a good value and looks nice.

Stayed away from the seating furniture at Ikea though because most of it look neat and modern but not many pieces are that comfortable to sit on.

Whenever I've looked through the Ikea website I've always thought the Hemnes looked the best. Glad to hear that it's not flimsy tat. Might very well get the wardrobes, computer desk and shelving from there.

Probably go to a bed store for the bed and a sofa store for the sofa. Again, glad you gave that same sentiment.

It's been so long since I bought a computer/tv I don't even know what to look for in one. Don't want to spend $$$ on the top of the line model. Want something reasonably priced and decent quality.

We have Hemnes for 2 dressers, end tables, bookshelves. We have 2 couches from Ikea, one was an as is steal. Bed frame is Ikea. Floating shelves are all Ikea.

Just go buy an Ikea and live there tbh.

my friend is in the fancy mental hospital in beverly hills. i REALLY don't want to go visit her. she says very hurtful things when she's crazy. *sigh* but i guess i'll go. maybe they'll be some celebs there
