It would suck to spend a ton of money on the second most expensive sheep and not even get the bragging rights.

I just saw the set list for the current Iron Maiden tour. Wow. I can't wait for the 30th, when they play Edmonton. Has anybody seen them on this tour?

I don't listen to as much Iron Maiden as I should. Always been more of an AC/DC man myself, AC/DC and Merle Haggard.

AC/DC was great for a while. Never listened to much IM, but it was only mediocre.

more exciting gas buying adventures.....

i passed up the convenient more expensive place, cuz i thought should save some money and make the two left turns and drive an extra two blocks and save ~$4

my beautiful luxurious car is pretty dirty, so i ordered the deluxe wash, including under carriage(lol) for $11. i think the cheap wash is $7. i gave the guy $41, and asked for $30 in gas on pump 6. my tank filled up after only $27.60. so i went to get change but the line was too long at the register so i just walked out. then there was a long line for the wash, so i just drove off

I think I need to start following Filthy and just pick up all the money he leaves lying around.

Also, Filthy may be one of those few people that hiring a personal assistant is break even!

every now and then i pay someone to help me with random stuff, like getting my car serviced, pay some bills, do some whatever errands/chores. but it's not a regular thing. just every now and then.

far and away, NOT EVEN CLOSE, my worst ever financial move was following my friend and his investing tips. i lost so much money. while the market was going crazy and everyone printing money, i lost like 100k

now i have cash just sitting in my etrade account. i have no idea what to do with it. it's been sitting there for years.

that same friend told me he thinks best bet is to wait for the market to crash, then buy stuff with the cash.

so remember i was wearing a wet t-shirt around the house to keep cool... well that stopped working. i'd still do it, but for some reason it stopped keeping me cool. maybe i adjusted to it or something? idk. so today i put my wet t-shirt in the freezer. i took it out after ~30 minutes and it was frozen, but i could still put it on. it was quite cold for about 10 seconds. then nice and refreshing for about 90 seconds after that. and then just back to normal luke warm wet t-shirt.

I recommend air conditioning.

It’s pretty cool.

what do you think i'm made of money?!??!?!
08-27-2019 , 10:34 PM
Our life got much better when we bought an inexpensive air conditioner and installed it in our bedroom window. Operating costs are minimal.

Fans and that wet shirt should do the trick. You just have to survive the EMF radiation that those things throw off.

i got a portable ac unit for my bedroom, but it's loud. and it makes me anxious. i only use it when it gets up around 100 in my bedroom. i have ceiling fan that is pretty good.
08-27-2019 , 11:22 PM
I lived without air conditioning for most of my life, lol those years. Sleep is so much better at 70 degrees with low humidity.
08-27-2019 , 11:32 PM
no homes in san francisco have ac. it's that cool there.

when i first moved to LA, and i'd go back to sf to visit, i felt like the whole city had free AC. i mean like outside

I'm about to break the 2 million mark in Bejeweled 2 for only the 3rd time evaa, keep me in your thoughts and prayers. Tyrone (that's me) has an all-time best of a little over 3 million, that's safe for now.

The boy & I are back into Kerbal again. We've just landed our first kerbal back on Mun. She didn't have enough fuel to make it home - Mark, do you operate a no kerbal left behind policy, or do you abandon them willy nilly across the kerbolar system?
08-29-2019 , 07:55 PM
No Kerbal left behind.

Oh and have you seen the KSP2 trailer?

For best effect, crank the volume.

Do you conduct expensive rescue operations, or just always revert missions that have suboptimal outcomes?

I do lots of reverting but not always. With the built in Delta V calculator and reasonable planning, I rarely don't have enough fuel.

<f5> and <f9> are your friends.

there earth is too hot! and i don't mean global warming. i just mean my bedroom

and i'm too old and too fat

when is the next outback steakhouse? maybe i'll make the drive down there. that reminds me, part of the reason i stopped drinking soda was to save money at restaurants. only water for me!

if our outback waitress is cute, maybe i'll ask her on a cruise. or maybe i'll bring a date! me, filthywoman, and mark and his family!

idk if i mentioned that me and filthywoman broke up but i know a couple of other lovely young ladies.

If you found an ex-model that didn’t work so much you could go on more vacations!
