Now this make sense (the logic behind wanting the dinner, not the sentence structure).

It's cold. You get a nice turkey dinner and can watch some football.

It just feels so out of place in August.

I’m a big fan of the traditional Thanksgiving meal but pretty much never eat turkey otherwise because it’s bland af and for reasons

Turkey is a poor man's chicken. Ofc good old American fried chicken is GOAT food, it is known. Hopefully it'll someday replace pizza as the sheep food meme, that is if sheep doesn't go extinct soon or hasn't already.

Quite a few years ago, I went bungee jumping with a friend. Getting to the jump site involved hiking 6 miles through canyons, crossing streams and a little boulder hopping. One member of the group we were with obviously didn't get the memo and was wearing a dressing shirt, slacks and leather dress shoes.

At the end of the day, those shoes were looking sad sad sad.

Reminder to play Premier League PEEHS by Friday at 3 p.m.

Precept finished 2nd or 3rd last year while picking golfers & football players, so no excuse no to play. Plus there has been a rare mexineil sighting over there.

All true. I even selected a team that had been relegated (and no longer in the EPL) for an answer.

Matt Ryan had a nice NFL season.
Chris Wood on the other hand is still looking to make his first cut on the Euro Tour for the season.

Can anyone recall a hotter summer than the one we're in now? When I was a kid I used to go to camp every summer and would run around outside for hours on end. Yeah, I remember getting hot and sweaty, but I don't remember anyone having heat exhaustion.

Granted, I was 10 or 11 years old at the time and I'm middle-aged and out of shape now, but it's to a point where my dog and I haven't completed a full lap (2 miles) around a lake at a nearby park since May. And we're waiting until October before we get back to doing that lap (3-4 x per week).
