Most BBQ sauce is awful. If I wanted corn syrup on my smoked meat I'd buy Karo. Give me something savory, spicy, hot or some combination of those and okay then.

Mustard is mustard.

Sour cream is awesome, though I really never eat it except with mexican food.

Ranch and blue cheese are meh. I tend to agree with kokiri as to salad dressings, they're industrial crap.

Hot sauce is the GOAT condiment.

Hot sauce is goat. I admit when I say bbq sauce what I really mean is some combination of hot sauce + bbq sauce.

mayo hate is unfounded

it carries very little flavor on its own, so I'm not sure why there's so much opposition to it

it provides a cooling sensation to the bite without adding sogginess or richness

it also serves as a great vessel for other flavors, mixed right into the mayo itself for even spreading

hummus and pesto are fantastic both for flavor and nutrition

bbq sauce and ketchup are great for food that you otherwise don't enjoy because they completely smother whatever flavor the food presents on its own

brown mustard gives food a nice little kick without unleashing your sinuses

sauerkraut is the sleeper goat condiment

Hard luck, spurs. Came so close. I tried to follow the game when I could, but it seemed like Limerick were full value for the win. Galway almost made it at the end. A cracking game, by all accounts.

Limerick 3-16 over Galway 2-18 for the All Ireland Hurling Championship.

- spaghetti bolognaise with sultanas
- yorkshire puddings with homemade overspiced chutney
