My wife's dad is up for Easter. Probably a lot of unhealthy eating and arguing about politics.

anyone got any recommendations for a moderately priced desktop computer?

not looking for state of the art gaming, but also not looking for a clunker. What sort of spec should I look for as a minimum?

anyone got any experience with refurbished computers?

That's a really broad range. What games do you want to be able to play?

What is the price range? With or without a monitor?

Does it need to have windows 10 included? Or do you have a spare copy?

Traveling to VA to visit family, the usual.
Weather in these parts is terrible though, so plans are delayed till tomorrow.

How's about your self?

Same as usual for me, drinking and football i'm not big on Easter, I liked it as a kid for the chocolate lol

Any other matched bettors in here? I've been doing it nearly a year now and made £27,000 it's pretty insane

My '06 has just over 100k. Been a decent amount of repairs but maybe not too crazy compared to other cars.

Synthetic oil is a plus, though.

Also pretty sure you can use 87 and dino oil if you really wanted. I generally use 89 gas.

Googling this I forgot some people only get gas from specific carriers and my friends use to run some fuel efficient software to test various companies gas or something like that

Thanks! No, not biscuity, they’re little génoise sponges baked in a shell mould. Nice and light and airy body with a caramelized perimeter. I mixed some mandarin orange zest into the batter and then did an orange glaze to finish. Divine, imo.

I should have been clearer. I don't want to play games on it, I'm just saying that I don't need it to be cutting edge, especially not for graphics cards etc.

I want it for a home office computer. Basic internet browsing, work stuff and youtube.

I can pick out a monitor myself, I don't really care if it comes with one or not.

I would like it to have windows 10 included.

Price is flexible, I'm looking for good value rather than cheap. If a £400 desktop is no good then I'll happily spend more, but if I £150 desktop will do the job then I'll happily get that.

I asked about the monitor in case you already had one. No laptops?

The best computer deals of the year (better than black friday) start in late July for back to school.

£400 should be slam dunk easy.

My wife and I both have laptops, but I don't like mixing work and pleasure on the same machine.

Not sure I want to wait that long even if it's the best deal.

Cancelled DirecTV last week. Use someone else's Netflix & already had Amazon Prime for unrelated reasons. Bought a Fire Cube thing.

Not sure if I enjoy this new lifestyle or not, yet, but at least it's cheap. Going to do all the free trials (Philo, Youtubetv, PSVue, Hulu live, etc) & see if any are worth paying for.

It's okay to have a few laptops.

Hey now, that’s a bit of a harsh overgeneralization. I don’t think mets is that rich.

YouTubeTV is great, and I'm a big fan of it.
I'm borrowing Netflix, have Amazon Prime, have YouTubeTV, and borrow Hulu, and of course pay for internet. I never lack for things to watch.

Trip report:

Last night I walked into the restroom at the airport and there was a man in his underwear washing his hands at the sink.

When I left the restroom he was still at the sink but no longer wearing his underwear.

Leaving seems like the optimal move there. Unless time travel was an option.
