I haven't watched it yet. I read one review who said it was a giant snoozefest. And another reviewer who loved the first 3 episodes and can't wait to watch the rest.

it was really surprising to me how much the theme song is in my brain. i used to watch that show all the time as a kid, but haven't heard the song in probably 20 years and maybe once in the last 35 years

i just remembered this one time when i was about 6 and my sister was babysitting me and i was so bored. i wished sooooooooooooooo bad that lost in space was on tv. and my sister convinced me to call the tv station and ask them to play lost in space. i did it. i was probably near tears i wanted it to be on so bad. i remember the woman on the other end of the phone being very sympathetic, but obviously she didn't put the show on hours before it was supposed to air

i've never ridden a motorcycle, but i'm gonna take a 2 day class, hope to pass, then get my license and buy a honda grom. brand new one cost like 3200, gets 130 mpg, has a top speed of around 65, and cheap insurance.

savings over a car are just incredible. buying a car seems insane. and it'll save me like 30 minutes a day on my commutes in LA traffic, and parking.

Cool! I took a similar motorcycle course. Kind of fun but very intense. Those are two long days and the test at the end is pretty hard. One of my classmates, an older woman got confused during a lesson and ran her bike into a fence. An ambulance came and took her away.

Just remember, motorcycles are like bicycles but go faster and are heavy. Cars will cut you off and turn in front of you routinely. It's a fairly dangerous activity.

My advice:
Do not drive on freeways (but it's super fun)
Always wear a leather jacket and boots that cover your ankle bones.
Winters in LA are COLD when on a motorcycle esp at night.

Oh and the DMV motorcycle driving test is hard. Practice a lot. GL.

i think i'll be ok. i'm pretty safe, and i rode my bicycle as main source of transportation for 25 years. i crashed twice, once was a bike malfunction, and once was my fault doing something stupid. neither was serious.

i don't have to take the dmv riding test if i pass the motorcycle class. i just have to take the written test.

damn, leather motorcycle jacket sounds expensive. i didn't think of that

I'm repurposing lambcamb into security CCTV - one quick question. It runs on an internet cable from the barn down to direct input into the router in the house, but if I want a second camera up there to catch the blond spots, is there any way to use the same cable to bring it down to the house, or do I need a second length of cable?

yep. Most switches support 5 separate devices (including the cable back to the router).
