Criminal athletes continuing to be propped up and have lucrative careers is an issue with society and capitalism, a social justice issue. Corrupt legal justice is way more of a problem.

There is audio of her telling him their son is afraid of him and he yells back at her “you should be too, bitch.” So you tell me. He was kicked off his college football team.

Since the orange guy got the boot I've made a fairly conscious effort to avoid any and all news I possible can. In order for pop culture to invade my brain it must come through 2p2 or the very few people I haven't blocked on lolfacebook.

I remember I forgot to pay a credit card and claimed my mom was ill and they rebated the fee. On the one hand it's wrong on the other hand I really didn't want to pay them extra money. And they clearly set up a lot of that crap hoping people would forget (before all this auto pay)

There was a recent aita about making a kid eat the wrong order or going back to the restaurant to get the correct items. I can see both sides but in this case the husband was the ahole for just being a general ahole. I'd probably make my kids make do with the wrong food if not dangerous and place was vaguely far.

I went full karen last year with my amex cards. 10 yearsish never late once and I forgot to pay before I went on a vacation. Paid less than a week late, maybe just a couple of days. Talked to several people and none would waive the late fee. Citi due at the same time waived it in like 5 seconds. Canceled all amex, even took video of me shredding them, fully intending to tweet the vids, but never did. I was soooo mad, over a lousy $25. On the bright side, I wonder how long before I can get all the bonuses again?

Yeah I do a decent amount of credit card churning these days. As much as I can without being stressed by it.

2024

Things have been going well. I got a surprisingly solid boost to my career this past year, and started up guiding/mentoring rock climbing again. In a much more stable housing environment. My partner has finally come around to getting treatment for Borderline, which has been a struggle as I try to work through some mental health issues myself, but ultimately progress is being made and we both have each other's support, so I'm optimistic there.

every now and then i can go off when im mistreated by a corporation or a worker, but generally im pretty chill. my gf otoh, she often goes nuts.

we've had two drive thru instances.. once the drive thru closed early, and she was livid. she called corporate, and her plan was to just sit in the drive thru until we got food, or got some kind of justice. i convinced her to let it go, and go to another drive thru, because i refused to sit in the car and wait. i was going to get out and walk/uber home while she sat in the car and waited... which she was going to do!!!! lol!! but luckily she came to her senses and calmed down


another time i ordered 40 mcnuggets(yes, i have an eating problem), and they gave us only 20. we paid for the 40. and she wanted to drive back and get the 20 mcnuggets we paid for, and this time she easily calmed down and realized it wasn't worth it because i was so tired, i just wanted to get home. and it was probably better for me to have only 20 mcnuggets instead of 40


is this one of those stories that is really lame, and i should keep to myself? and the only reason i'm telling it is because i'm old and have no understanding of reality anymore? like i can't tell if what im saying is really stupid and boring and embarrassing, or if it's something that is ok to say.

i went to visit my american friend who was living in germany. he also liked only hot mustard sauce.

we went to mcdonalds in germany cuz i like going to mcdonalds in different countries. like in germany you can buy beer in mcdonalds! lol... anyway... the only thing i can eat there are fries and mcnuggets. my friend told me they don't have hot mustard sauce in germany. but i suspected my shy friend was just unable to advocate enough for himself, and his desire for hot mustard sauce

i was on a mission to effectively communicate with the german staff... the 15 year old boy, miserable, heavy eyeliner and mascara, told me in a thick german accent "hot mustard? i've never heard of that. we don't have that here", and i could hear the unspoken "idiot american, **** you"

i was determined "you know, it's yellow, spicy... maybe it's called something different here?" and i saw his heavily made up eyes widen, and he said "ahh.... senf?" and i said "yeah, senf! can i please have that?"

and we got hot mustard sauce in germany

my friend said "oh you got it from the gay kid. you're lucky. he's the nicest one there" and i said "i don't think he's gay. i think he's just european"
