I took a home test last week, on Thursday night which gave a positive result for Covid. Almost certainly this is the Omicron variant.

I had Covid in November of 2020, got vaxxed in March and April of 2021 and got a booster in November.

This time around my temperature peaked at 99.1 on Friday morning. I had a sore throat for a day, and my voice is hoarse from clearing my throat all the time.

Other than that, this experience had been overwhelmingly mild. If I hadn't tested myself and didn't know better I wouldn't have changed a thing about my daily activities. But I won't complain about a paid week off from work and a chance to binge tv and take daily naps.

Per the CDC's recommendations, I'll be back at work in a couple days.
