apparently the explanation is they price them high when they are out of stock or close to it and they have tons of names so they just happen to match up sometimes

alternatively they are wardrobes made out of children

I can't blame anyone for not wanting to associate with trump or biden supporters

We should let luckbox take kelhus place.

Or do a pseudo trial.

he said he was leaving anyway

so a ban is just enforcing honesty for once

I never said that. I have to be on good behavior until after CYOA runs and then after that I may or may not choose to go out in a blaze of glory.
Kelhus' banning continues to be as unacceptable today though as it was yesterday.

Re: the ban. I see this like someone who (repeatedly) violated parole. You don't get to whine when the judge says "enough", then revokes their parole. The seriousness of the actual issue which causes the response is irrelevant. The fact that they give money to orphanages and the homeless has no bearing.

kelhus did

how can you insist he shouldn't have been banned if you didn't read his posts?

kelhus said he was leaving

sun’s point is that banning kelhus is just forcing to upheld his claim that he was going to leave

Am I missing something? Didn't EB just make sure that a permanently banned poster could not post anymore? This seems administrative to me.

I agree luckbox was a bit whiny but also don't believe in gatekeeping emotion /outrage.

It's part of his entire schtick to get people to argue with him

"oh, i'm just popping in, i'll probably leave soon if no one wants me here/no one wants to engage with me"

It's both a way for him to feel better about his own ego if he does get embarrassed out of the thread, and serves as a means by which people engage with him in their efforts to actually get him to leave, per his own admission - as disingenuous as it might've been

If I unlock the thread will you go find his worse posts for me?
Because I saw one post that seemed questionable both perhaps factually and due to a lack of sensitivity it displayed. Beyond that I need to know what actually was so offensive-- asking people to quote J.K Rowling and talking about gametes and elephants?

Not to mention - if you go back and read Quick_Ben's posts, they were bad. Like really, really bad.

Whoever it was that said that this is their MO where they start off pretending to be friendly with their "both sides" and JAQing behaviors, and as soon as they establish themselves even a little, they get way worse - is 100% correct. He was never going to get better and he was very quickly going to get a lot more intolerable.

yeah, that's why I didn't just say "go away". I asked if he'd leave if we all ignored him so that if he didn't leave, there would be more incentive to ignore him

EB doesn't have that authority. He was put in place to be a mod for one thread, not to moderate the forum or 2p2 as a whole.
Kelhus had thousands of posts in the politics main forum without being banned. And WN had no problems banning actual problematic posters, and Kelhus was still active in politics.
Why not ban Crossnerd and VMF again if this is the standard?
