well, I was disappointed there were no pitchforks or guillotines.
my building is huge. it's owned by a corporate landlord. there are hundreds of apartments. but only about a dozen of us went to the meeting.
our leader was a young black woman, and she was pretty ****ing awesome, a bit long winded, but pretty ****ing awesome. I'd follow her to the gates of hell.
during our meeting an unruly group of teens broke into our swimming pool, and we chased them off.
so far, the only real thing of substance is an email campaign to our building manager, and our corporate overlords. our fearless leader wrote up a long email, with a list of our concerns. it was surprisingly professional. I think she said she writes these kinds of emails for her job.
one of our sister buildings(another luxury slum), owned by the same corporate landlord parasites, supposedly organized a tenant's union for their building. so we're trying to coordinate with them
