idk if you're serious or joking, but jnj lasts a long time. i think longer than all the others actually. not sure about that. but jnj keeps getting stronger over time and the mrna ones do not. but they started out stronger.

iirc jnj is stronger 6 months out than 5 months out

but even at 6 months it's protection was like 80% so cdc said anyone with jnj should get a booster.

in the somewhat small studies they did, people who got moderna after jnj showed most robust immune boost. pfizer was second, and another jnj was distant third

or maybe you were thinking you were supposed to wait 2 months to get a booster after you get jnj. that is what cdc says. not sure why they say to wait 2 months.

but one shot of jnj and one shot of moderna was the strongest combo, like more than 3 shots of moderna or whatever..... i thnk..

i just saw the NBA is considering players who got the JnJ to no longer be vaccinated after 2 months
11-19-2021 , 12:43 PM
pretty sure they did a study recently showing JnJ effectiveness fell to around 5% after 2 months
11-19-2021 , 12:46 PM
looks like I was off a bit but it’s still a pretty stark drop off:

“They found that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine’s effectiveness against infection dropped to 43.3% from 86.9% after six months. The Moderna vaccine saw a similar decline, falling to 58.0% from 89.2%. They observed the largest drop in the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which was 13.1% effective in September compared to 86.4% in March.”

I just think it's absurd that

"i got vaccinated but i'm not going to tell others to"

is considered a ridiculous statement these days. i have complained to birdman a ton about this but are we really at a point where your body your choice literally doesn't apply if a bunch of rich people say it doesn't?

This might be the most in-depth filthy post ever!

No good news anywhere today it seems on COVID with Austria going into lockdown for up to 20 days. 15k cases yesterday in a population of ~9 million per the BBC -- Michigan is about as bad as it gets in the US right now and we had half that number yesterday in a slightly larger population.

In non-COVID stuff, it's tilting me that the Republicans are referring to the BBB bill as "Build Back Broke" when it should be "Build Back Broker" to linguistically line up with Build Back Better. Get your **** together idiots.

Also, lol Marco Rubio (can't get the tweet to embed) ---

wow if this study is an accurate reflection of reality, then i was going to the casino every day with way less protection than i thought

im guessing the 13% number is just against infection, and not against hospitalization. the protection from hospitalization numbers are always pretty high i think

I may vaguely argue why people should get vaxxed if I think they should, mostly if they are high risk. Not against public policy in general in regards to health, though general policy shouldn't be set during a panic imo.

But now with boosters feel like we're getting some percentage who take them "just because."

If they came out with some delta vax I'd consider it.

i saw a tweet that said something like "america in one picture"

one half of the pic was rittenhouse not guilty

and the other half was a black guy who got life without parole for stealing $50 from a bakery
11-19-2021 , 08:49 PM
also right now there is a 17 year old black girl in wisconsin who killed her sex trafficer... she is either about to be found guilty, or already got sentenced. im not sure which
11-19-2021 , 08:51 PM
Rittenhouse is good for more whataboutism than anything since the January 6 business.

Good lawyers and DA who can't leverage pleas helps a lot probably.

Also I heard the DA may not have been particularly incompetent and most are bad at actually arguing cases.

my computer broke a couple days ago, and i don't know any of my passwords lol.. took me 2 days to sign into 2p2 again.

haven't bothered signing into other social media.

kinda weird not reading twitter. idk what is going on in the world. i saw some stuff on tv at the casino, and saw some headlines on democracy now.

someone drove an suv into a crowd. and lebron james got into a fight.

i think that's all that's happened in the last couple days.

So the current situation is an apartment with you, 4 walls, a $10K bed and a phone?

Take care of that USB cable! And Black Friday is only a few days away!

lol!! nah, i bought a backup computer before the pandemic cuz i thought i might be in the situation you described if my computer broke during lockdown and i wasn't able to get another one.

but this computer has only a 15 inch screen. my other one had 17. i think i'm gonna go ahead and get a tv so i can watch things on a screen bigger than 17 inches for the first time in my life! lol!

i can post in politics thread and play ww on a 32 inch screen or whatever they are
