And wn is completely wrong about him just being stuck in a cycle of getting banned for having been previously banned. Mods on this site inexplicably give banned users a million more chances each time they create a new account to evade a permabanned. Getting banned as many times as he has takes some serious dedication to horrible posting.

He was one of the better players in Harry Potter and played super solidly in both games he played.

If a poster does unacceptable stuff in non-werewolf threads, it should not matter that he allegedly was a productive werewolf player. "Unacceptable" means "cannot be accepted".

He was allowed to create his current account on the condition that he limit himself to the two forums where the mods were willing to tolerate him. POG was not one of the two forums. And it's not even the first time he did this. He begs his way back onto the site on the argument that he's not terrible literally 100% of the time in 100% of threads and should therefore be allowed limited participation, and then he resumes doing the same **** that always gets him banned. You can't make deals with people who don't honor deals.

And because he posted "gender essentialism" ideas. And because he had the temerity to be here.

I've been thinking about it and I think I'm going to join the petition to permanently end the politics thread.

POG had just started to get rejuvenated and I think that this kind of drama is unavoidable as long as it exists. As much as I enjoyed having a relatively small space to argue about politics with people I "know", I enjoy the ability to play werewolf with people I know more.

While POG was a ghost town I didn't really care because there wasn't really anything to lose. But now there is.

I was the leading poster in both of the past two iterations by quite a bit, so I would hope my opinion carries a bit of weight. But I'm not sure how to formally make this happen. Do we need to PM the POG mods? Do we take a vote?

Is there anyone that feels strongly about keeping a politics thread open on POG?

I feel like for a while I was the only one. And maybe Dustin. But Dustin seems to have changed his mind, and now that I don't want it open, I can't imagine anyone else really cares to keep it open.
