Guys argues nature over nurture and gets banned is what happened.
Eyebooger had no right to ban Kelhus based on his posts.
Guy posts fine, plays in ww games, and people react poorly to him for whatever reason*. He didn't need to be banned. Nothing needed to happen at all. Eyebooger was way out of line.

Which shows, as always, everybody likes censorship. They just disagree about what to censor. Without some moderation or editorial discretion, it's a race to the bottom. I've seen completely unmoderated in usenet and it doesn't work.

People think free speech is the good side, but it isn't. Actually, moderation is required and good moderation makes for good discussion.

The narrow part of the government can't tell you what to say or think is actually a good free speech (and very much under attack today). Which has nothing to do with 2p2.

i don't really understand why you'd ban someone for posting stuff you disagree with, even if its blatantly false or pseudo-science or whatever

that thread looks like it's literally 100v1 (maybe 100v3 w/ dustin/vmf). ideas are meant to be discussed/argued. the best ideas will win out. you shouldn't be afraid of ideas no matter how dumb they are, because they don't hold weight when scrutinized

if several flat earthers start posting, will you ban them because its blatantly false? what about greek/roman theology? restricting speech isn't the answer to bad ideas. neither are ad-hominem attacks, which were flung at both luckbox/kelhaus pretty liberally
