when star trek tng came out in like 1987 they changed the opening monologue. it used to say "to boldly go where no *man* has gone before". they changed it to "where no *one* has gone before". and my teenage snowflake manboy self felt attacked. my mom told me "it's not about gender. they're including aliens" and somehow that made it ok to me lol!!!!

I haven't seen the new, live action release yet, but if you haven't recently, I suggest you go back and watch the original, animated release of Mulan in the now more broadly accepted light of gender fluidity.

Also the music is pretty good.
