I do not think mb called me a anti-semite but that my ideas on zionism acts as cover for them.

I guess what ultimately many people who are interested in the Israel/Palestine question and not participants ask themselves is how to judge the situation.

Do we tally it up like a scoreboard of horrors and virtues and then see who comes out in front?

Is there one historical reason that trumps another?

I was here first principle?

Does your conduct within a conflict affect your standing?

I think on one level or another - these types of questions or appeals are being used by the parties when they argue for their own claims or against the others.

At least we all agree in theory it's ok for Jews to have their own state and Palestinians to have their own state.
06-28-2017 , 10:12 AM
everyone should have their own state. mine is called AmpLand.

no tred on amp

Pwnstopia is taking it over for the sake of some vague principle I feel quite strongly about and isn't a rationalization for taking your stuff. If you behave I'll let you stay in newpwnstopia but you have work for me now.

The people of AmpLand, in the righteous name of our Dearest Leader, reject your absurd terms and again warn all nations that we will fill the sky with rockets and the ground with the bodies of our enemies if our sovereignty is in any way violated.

The might of AmpLand will not be questioned.
06-28-2017 , 10:26 AM
After seeing the military might of Ampland, Pwnstopia has decided to forgo traditional methods of war and subvert the government of Ampland through false ideologies. The first step is to subvert Ampland's right to exist.

It will be a three pronged attack.

1. Ampland was built off the blood of some historical society who has some claim to the land and nothing good and wholesome can come from something so evil.

2. What gives Ampland the right to commandeer a bit of land for its own sovereignty when other peoples are just as entitled to that land. What gives, buddy?

3. By setting up a land for itself, Ampland is implicitly dividing humanity and encouraging it's own moral principles while excluding others, which is xenophobic, racist, and ethnocentric.

AmpLand is confused.

Until further notice, citizens of AmpLand are instructed to put their fingers in their ears and chant the Dearest Leader's Sixteenth Prayer, (na na nanana NANANA).

Honestly it depends what you mean by this.

Israeli's legal authority is premised upon Britain's claim of sovereignty over the land at the time of the grant of the land by Britain to Israel

Britain's claim of sovereignty is the result of conquest

what current sovereignty is not the result of conquest?

does conquest+colonization improve the applicability/"legitimacy" of "sovereignty"?

if the conquerors speak the same language as the conquered, does the conquest thereby become more legitimate?

A useful formula to keep in mind when assessing moral outrage:

Standard + Breach - Mitigation = Damage
06-28-2017 , 12:09 PM
if no sovereignty is legitimate, none can be violated

In 1743, Prithvi Narayan Shah became the ruler of Gorkha. He declared war with other principalities, defeating them one by one. In September 1768, he established the unified kingdom of Nepal.

And here he is, pictured with Mrs. Shah.

I think zorkman's "act like a nutjob" thread was a fruitful exercise, and I would play again.

To improve: assign "roles" (ideologies, etc) and create scorecards because only numbers have #meaning.

"The conspiracist usage originated in Nazi Germany, where Kulturbolschewismus ("Cultural Bolshevism") was used to abuse political opponents. In particular, Jews purportedly were secretly orchestrating the spread of Communism (Jewish BolshevismWikipedia's W.svg) as well as promoting sexual & gender permissiveness ("sexual Bolshevism")."

So are Jews allegedly behind every conspiracy, even the conspiracies at odds with other conspiracies?

Was there ever a winner or a post-game discussion thread?

It was an anti-communist, anti-semitic catch-all that the Nazis pushed against their two biggest enemies. People still push it today under the term "cultural-Marxism" which of course has no meaning.
