Well two games in the last three days

Overwatch, I was banned because I rage quit too often

League of Legends, permanent ban, guess telling my terrible teammates to either uninstall the game or kill themselves was a bit over the top.

You have some legit rage issues.

This isn't me making a joke. Please consider seeing a therapist.

I've been told that I had rage issues since I was a kid.

And to be honest, I played league for 5 years and never got a ban, it's only been until recently that I keep getting banned. Not sure if they made changes to how serious they take things.

Therapist probably not needed, literally in every game I see people posting stuff like me.

edit: Are you saying that's its hard to be banned from League? This is my 5th one since my main account was banned I January.

Felt like it's a perfect time to post in politics thread.

Can somebody give me the details on what this new healthcare bill is going to change? or a suitable link?

Yeah I probably have some disorder

but paying a therapist to tell me that isn't really an option with my current income

The AHCA is a tax cut for rich people bill. The cuts are funded by cutting health care for people.

14 million more people would be uninsured under the law in 2018, increasing to 24 million by 2026.

7 million fewer people would get insurance through their employer by 2026.

The CBO and JCT said that provisions of the AHCA would raise premiums for older Americans "substantially" while shrinking them for younger Americans.
http://www.businessinsider.com/cbo-c...umpcare-2017-3

They are rewriting it daily to find new ways to make it worse for more people.
03-24-2017 , 02:49 AM
you might not have to worry, though, as the proposed health care bill isn't bad ENOUGH for some members of the freedom caucus/senate to vote for it
03-24-2017 , 02:50 AM
i also thinks it's funny that trump is threatening us that if republicans don't pass a bill soon, he's going to drop the matter and we'll be stuck with obamacare. ohhhh, so scary, i'm shaking over here

because the IRS has already said they won't be enforcing the individual mandate this year. premiums are going to keep going up as healthy people drop out. i would expect some insurance companies to entirely pull out of certain markets

obviously the ACA is vastly better than the AHCA because of medicaid expansion/essential health benefits/other reasons, but for a lot of people, insurance will get prohibitively expensive over the next few years
03-24-2017 , 03:02 AM
but seriously, who knew healthcare could be so complicated

Anyone got an update on the Hillary indictment?

Imperialism maybe driven by the underlying forces of economics but it is not sufficent for rigorous enquirers. That quote seemed only willing to assign the tag imperialist to the preeminent hegemon.

I made a sliver of progress in 1491 recently. I mean like, a few pages.

Anyway, the author wrote about the pre-pre-Columbian empire, eurocentrically known as the Hopewell, which expanded a great distance and spawned a multitude of languages and subcultures. The theory is they had certain religious features, particularly funeral rites (?), that swept The People at the time.

Their society was intensely stratified, as most theocracies are.

I guess my question is: can one be an expansive* empire without being an imperialist?

*presumably there are #other peoples around

I hope this isn't the last time we see a Trump Ultimatum:

"Congress, you collectively have until tomorrow to reform a massive, complicated, and essential infrastructure or I'm not going to allow you to change it at all."

I can see him doing this in a corporate board room, demanding everybody up their cocaine intake to close a deal he is tired of bothering about.

Bullies gonna bully.
03-24-2017 , 07:34 AM
and just in case I haven't disgusted enough normal, reasonable people with that Imperialism **** a minute ago:

Christianity used to be an anti-materialist religion. The whole camel-through-a-needle etc.

Judaism wasn't.

So your distinction isn't as distinguishing as you may imagine.

It is nice that Jews aren't directly targeted by this narrative.

But if Jews generally do have more wealth than non-Jews, for whatever reason, then the result is fairly close; there's the problem of looping back around to "well, yeah, money is evil, and jews have it, so QED".

Similar to what I was saying before wrt politicians, you have to look at Intent. If you infer intent solely from action (or, in this case, possession), you are just doing it wrong.

What do you have other than action from which to infer intent?
