Exactly. Science is hard and you need to actually know stuff(mostly). Anecdotal stories and conjecture and yelling are easy. Just ask master!

kinda annoyed he isn't running 3rd party

the tennessee legislature voted last month (and the governor allowed to become law) to strip every single dollar from the university of tenneessee's "diversity and inclusion" program (read: left wing propaganda) and instead use the money to fund minority students in STEM

meanwhile, brown university has pledged $100 million to do just the opposite

crazy times man

We seem to be still debating SJWs for whatever god forsaken reason. What exactly is both sides debating?
06-11-2016 , 02:36 AM
dunno, should we move on to topics we haven't discussed yet, like trump, hillary, brexit, islamic terrrorism, transgenderism, or something else?
06-11-2016 , 02:53 AM
We could discuss lolstralian politics. Thanks to compulsory voting, people who have actual political beliefs (i.e. are left or right wing) are taken for granted, so it basically involves two thoroughly centrist parties yelling about how the other party is JUST THE WORST, and the election is decided by people who are too ******ed to have a political philosophy. Looks to be a close race this time.

you guys will have gay marriage by 2025 right?
06-11-2016 , 02:58 AM
Has Obama done too many or not enough drone strikes?

We should, I mean I think both sides in this thread agree

There is something (I'm just saying something) to BLM and feminists

The extreme BLM and feminists are doing more harm than good.

I swear we have spent months debating about the middle here.

As a college teacher, sorry if I never correctly pronounced your name correctly. But in my class I only called your name once or twice a month
06-11-2016 , 03:14 AM
it's ok, i forgive you. most americans can't pronounce "harry" either, they seem to confuse it with the word "hairy"
06-11-2016 , 03:39 AM
I couldn't care less about what people do so long as they aren't hurting people. I don't care who people ****, how they modify their bodies, what race or gender or religion they are or wish to be, what bathroom people use, or who is allowed into the country, so long as you're not hurting someone else. I think people who care about things that don't hurt other people are ****ing stupid. Does that make me a SJW? If it does, should I be insulted?

I've been pretty pleased by his drone strikes, I'd say. Killed a lot of really bad guys and made our country safer as a result. Gotta break a few eggs to make an omelet, as they say.

Trump is going to knock the hell out of ISIS, that I can tell you.
06-11-2016 , 06:51 AM
Boris Johnson is so ****ing awesome. Little snippet of a Brexit debate here where he squashes 3 Remain ladies like bugs. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016...-more-powerfu/
06-11-2016 , 09:11 AM
If someone continues incorrectly to pronounce my name after I correct them, I lose respect for them.

A teacher cannot function effectively if the student has no respect for them.

PS, it is a bit annoying when you make a good point and then follow it up with "but WHITE people so-and-so"

as the British say, "leave it out"

I don't think the conservitards are suggesting that we should hurt people (other than The Terrorists, of course).

The issue appears to be that "hurt" is being stretched beyond recognition.

Are people who hate drones also antagonistic towards F-22s?

the central contention appears to be "who is more of a wuss"

He reminded me a lot of Obama '08 - really strong rhetoric with approachable charisma but not much substance.

The video that you post here, though, is from a talk to the Ripon Society.

I went to their website, and they have a big picture of trust-busting, expansionist, and self-described progressive Teddy Roosevelt up top.

Then their mission statement includes making the Federal government "smaller".

Reminds me of the "Federalist Society" at my school that used Thomas Jefferson's face in their materials.

They attribute their name to the birthplace of the Party, Ripon WI, but they don't acknowledge that the Republican party was originally the advocate for greater Federal intrusion (Lincoln being another prominent example).

It's not a coincidence that a Republic is more centralized than a Democracy.

Then asshats opposing civil rights legislation flipped the script... and the bogus argument that "the Constitution prevents the Govt from stopping people ****ting on each other" remains to this day!

when "liberal" becomes a bad word in the mouths of those who claim to celebrate Locke, Jefferson, and individual freedom...

This is the problem. He's not going to do anything because what he does is bluster about such things then bluster even more when he blusters himself into a corner.

(complete lie, naturally)

@bigger, you were never going to vote for him anyway

@domer, prove he supported the iraq war and I'll grant you the point. Otherwise you're the dum dum
