Co-signing all of this except for the bolded. I don't post here much, but I read this thread from time to time as I value the opinions of most of the regs here. One thing is clear, and has been clear for a long time: Soah can fix it anytime he wants; he simply chooses not to act. LB and mets are garbage ****posters who add zero value to this or any other thread/sub-forum, and anywhere else they'd have long since been at least contained if not banned wholesale. But here they're allowed to spread their aidsy firetakes unhindered to the detriment of otherwise valuable discussion. I will never understand it.

To be clear, I don't mean all conspiracy theories. I mean the horrifically offensive ones. Soah's point about Dustin's history is relevant: when he's not trying to explain his horrible views about Sandy Hook he's unobjectionable as a poster. There's less than zero chance discussion about that is going to be useful to anyone, but it is offensive to almost everyone. So I don't see much benefit to allowing it. If Dustin doesn't have anything else to talk about then so be it.

My alternative proposal is maybe it's time to just stop having this thread.

I hope so. I consider myself the most correct person in this thread and the 2nd most correct person is Birdman who I argue with about almost everything.

My posts on the South Ossetia thing in 2008 are just as relevant to everything about what we see regarding the demonization of Russia today.

I'm not correct about everything but overall I know that I am correct and the reason for that is that conspiracy theory gives a different insight into the world.

I am in danger of police violence. I get pulled over for no reason sometimes.

I've had cops threaten to mace me.

I have been told that if we were "back in Boston" that I would have gotten beat up after running from some dickhead cops after jay-walking in Tempe.

I ran down a literal dead end alley. Not my finest moment but I was drunk.

Just because I'm not pushing some race-based white supremacy narrative all the time doesn't make a me racist and doesn't make me not concerned about police violence.

(And yeah white people are abused and killed by the police too)
