I can't think of one. Every one I saw had it as too close to call at the end of election night

The American angle is total fiction by him. He's wanted by Sweden to answer a charge of rape. He's not a political prisoner, he's a self obsessed attention junkie and suspected sex criminal.

im pretty sure those swedish charges were dropped. that's what the article says. he is no longer wanted by sweden.

My understanding is that the US govt hates him but had no basis on which to bring charges, and that Sweden had him on rape but they aren't pursuing him while he's on asylum (not that he has been exonerated).

He is talking about race, but neither of you (especially you) are bright enough to see how that fits into the equation at the moment, and its baffling in ianaww's case for sure.

there are no logical reasons to exempt prisons from having to pay minimum wage. and there are even less reasons to exempt a PRIVATE corporation from paying inmates a living wage and profiting from their work. the company town, we provide your housing argument, again, shouldn't exempt you from treating people like human beings.

I hate so much that argument that says prisoners want to be prisoners and homeless want to be homeless and drug addicts want to be drug addicts etc. Such level 1 thinking by people who hate other people imho.

One of the cornerstones of capitalist ideology is that people are where they are because they chose to be, or at the very least, as a result of choices they made.

This line of thinking is required in order to justify the widespread suffering of so many people. The same way religion was used during feudal times to justify obvious ****ty and unfair outcomes of the system. The religion of today is liberalism.

I met an Afghani-American yesterday whose mom escaped from Afghanistan when she was nine with four kids, leaving her husband behind. They made it to Pakistan and got asylum in the US and were really poor. The mom worked at a sandwich shop and the girl is now a doctor.

Honey, the "religion" of the day is still just religion. We're not going anywhere until everyone collectively gives up on the spaghetti monster stuff.

The second largest religious group in North America is “none” and it is growing faster than any other religion.

Which is fine, but the rest of America believes in an ancient magic book, the original 'you don't work you don't eat'..

Ok. I don’t disagree with you—the point of my post was not to say religion is dead.

Also, regardless that is such a stupid opinion. “Palestine damaged some farms so Israel fire bombed Palestinian civilians, that is totally fair and reasonable”
