If I'm being purposely honest I don't like hearing the Lord's prayer during political events either, but realize from of religion is from iof religion
I guess my point was that I deal with things in America that do offend me often, but don't make a federal case out of them
I'd suggest that offense is not the right language to use here.
I'd absolutely agree that using terminology and the like of a specific religion in state functions is exclusionary and not a good idea for various reasons, but if people are claiming to be actually offended at the use of the word Christ, is suggest either a) the standard for giving people a fit of the vapours has got ludicrously low or b) they're not actually offended, they're just trapped in the wrong frame of thinking about the subject.
Being offended about something is neither necessary nor sufficient for that thing to be actually bad.
