This is inductive reasoning:

I'm eating a bag of chips. The first chip is really salty. The second chip is really salty. The third chip is really salty. Via inductive reasoning I can assume ALL these chips are really salty.

If there was a confirmed school shooting hoax, then another, then another, we could use inductive reasoning to infer that ALL school shootings are hoaxes.

What dustbox is doing is reasoning backwards from a predetermined solution.

He lied about his communications with Flipped Rick Gates, and about communications with someone referenced in the charges only as "Person A".

I'm sure he's just being misled by the media tho, and indicting based on whatever the majority thinks might have happened.
