i know this is very impractical for many and you probably will think this idea is ludicrous but i put things like ^ way higher than the quality of its religious school, how pretty the torah covers/sanctuary are, or how good the rabbi is.

That isn't what he said.

There should be a reform temple that meets those needs.
But not a conservative synogauge.
And it supports what i said. Most people that want to join a conservative synogauge and care about traditional jewush values support Israel and people that are Jewish in the secular sense only may not support Israel.
How exactly does what bsball posted "support" what you said? Bsball is describing his ideal synagogue to you. Secular jews
don't go to synagogue. (We've been to synagogue exactly zero times in 15 years. I have *only* ever been to temple to support other jews in their events, fundraisers etc). And bsball hasn't said that he doesn't support Israel- he has criticized their policies.
You seem to have a problem, mets. To you, jews are broken up into two parts- practicing jews who go to conservative/orthodox synagogues, OR secular jews (appaently this includes reform jews lol wtf) who don't support Israel. Sometimes you throw in "maybe"s to disguise the very much black-and-whiteness of your views.
You've essentially said in no uncertain terms that jews who criticize you religion ldo don't support Israel, and you've basically framed all of us who aren't practicing the religion up to *your standards* as bad jews without actually using that phrase.
Maybe consider that the younger generation is sick and tired of your old, tired, backwards ways telling us we're being bad jews. I think Bibi is a bad jew fwiw, and the things he's said recently are really bad for all of us.
What you posted actually supports what basball said. That there's a split down the middle between millenials and boomers. If you can't separate judaism from Israel you're part of the problem, because a huge part of the community is not practicing judaism atm.
