Ever try chopping down a tree? That will generate some sweat!

Long distance walking isn't a piece of cake either.

13c on PredictIt. I’d take the other side of that in a heartbeat.

It'll be Trump. He would be wasted if they only used him for one term. Dem nominee idk.
02-20-2019 , 11:23 AM
Gonna go ahead and predict trump doesn't even get the republican nod.

Pretty bold prediction. Here I was thinking that predicting the incumbent was bold but you've upped me.

I probably shouldn't ask, but who is "they"?

The ptb of course
02-20-2019 , 11:54 AM
LB, what would it look like for an event or occurrence not to be performed at the hands of the ptb?

Probably they don't monetize it with tons of media coverage and then go on to make movies about it.
02-20-2019 , 11:59 AM
Remind me again who the ptb are?

I googled it and got pulmonary tuberculosis.

The ptb is an interlocking set of the world's leaders in banking, business, government and media.
02-20-2019 , 12:27 PM
And the PTB basically installed Trump as president?

I don't think I'm following the logic.

This is what we briefly discussed before when I stated that much of what we see between Trump and the media is an act. You asked me to elaborate but I never did.

It's a complicated topic. It isn't unexplainable but when you don't even believe that there is such a thing as a ruling class, it becomes very difficult as lots of underlying assumptions need to be worked out first.

fyp

Maybe just explain it after the underlying assumptions and assume we get that part.

Rich people band together to do stuff to make themselves more rich. Check. Then what?
02-20-2019 , 12:51 PM
You would love this game.

You already have assumptions wrong. Because it really isn't about money for the rich. It is about power/control. Money is just a tool.

Ultimately how does the ruling class rule?

It is through narrative more than anything else. They still have to have the consent of the people and they do this through forcing their narrative of the way the world is and the way the world works.

I think Birdman would agree with this.

I think Trump is here to help shape that narrative into something that is more longer term sustainable for the ruling class. I realize this is still pretty cryptic.

The easiest way to understand Dustin’s theory is to wait and see what happens and then use circular logic to explain that it exactly what the “powers that be” wanted to happen.

Might be easiest but wouldn't be correct.

And here I thought The Blacklist was just a TV show.
02-20-2019 , 02:28 PM
The idea that there is a cabal of people who work together to share global power is of course ridiculous. But it also fails to explain why “power” is something anyone wants. I could just as easily call that a means to an end as you did for money.

I'm only trying to come up with a theory that is capable of explaining what we see.

It is better than thinking that everything happens through the hands of the "bourgeoisie" on accident and without any coordination.
