Well, the attack wasn't nonsensical, it was that she faked being native american to get into schools and advance her career. It's wrong for a bunch of reasons. The fact that she tried to rebut the ancestry part as opposed to the other stuff, or better yet not respond directly to it at all I agree is real bad. You can even call it stupid. But I think it's just the nerdy thought process that she could prove her bully's premise was false and therefore win.
