I was banned going on 8 years ago. I haven’t had disciplinary issues since then- any mod can confirm this. Not even an infraction.

Regarding issues with others, I am not sorry I have issues with bigots.

I’ve modded tons of games here and played in even more. I’ve never been modkilled or had issues in games.

I would be an excellent mod. I value fairness very highly.

Whether more than 70% or whatever people like me or not is irrelevant, the same way it is for Birdman. Birdman would also be an excellent mod.

I don't think that your game behaviour has any bearing here - you would probably be (and were) and excellent games mod. But we are talking about forum modding.


This, IMO, is a necessary but insufficient condition to be a forum mod. Forum mods should also be trusted and respected by the majority of its players. If a lot of people will perceive you as an unfair forum mod, the fact that you are actually fair would be sadly irrelevant.

I don't really think this argument is pointless, bc you won't be in this situation forever and might try to petition for the job later, or agree to it if offered.

Regardless, if you want to end this conversation I will do so, but I will bring it up again should someone propose you as a forum mod.

Furthermore, your judgment on this matter is questionable at best considering you are the loudest dissenter for reforming the conduct of this forum as well as using personal leverage to sway the outcome of something that effects everyone. The first issue can possibly be written down to cultural differences, but the second is a personal failure on your part when it comes to working together as a healthy community.

Please note that one of the people I have endorsed for mod (chim17) is one of the main supporters of the policy outlined above. So I don't think this is fair.

This would be unacceptable behaviour for a forum mod candidate, but perfectly acceptable behaviour from a regular poster, which is what I am. I would be a terrible forum mod and I am not volunteering for the job. If people think my leverage is non-existent, they can always ignore my "me or him" position, right?

Crossnerd was not suggesting herself. She said she is unavailable.. It can't be productive for Crossnerd to be advocating why she would be good, and others advocating why she would not, when she does not want it, so it is not going to happen.

All that can come of this is rehashing past conflicts..
