This game will run only on weekdays from 10am-8pm Eastern time (forum time). The game will require a LOT of participation throughout the day.
From the signups, I will choose (semi-randomly) to be team captains. They will draft 11 of their team mates.
Before the start of each day, the team captain of the fielding team must post a list of the positions for each player in the field from their team. There are nine positions. Pitcher, catcher, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, RF, CF, and LF.
The pitcher that day must post "Throw pitch" when he or she wishes to throw the first ball to the kicking team.
After that post, the next player up for the kicking team (order decided before the game -- all 12 players on the team kick) must post "Kick to [fielding position]" within an hour, or he or she was struck out. You may not kick to the same player that was kicked to by the previous kicker (from this inning).
The player to whom the ball was kicked to has one hour to respond with "Catch ball". If not, the player moves to first base and all other runners on base advance one position.
If a fielding player catches the ball within 5 minutes of the kick and there is a runner on first, then the kicker and the runner on first are both out for a double play.
As per usual, three outs per inning.
If the fielding team does not obtain three outs by the end of the day, the kicking team gains 5 bonus runs and continues to kick the next day.
Each day, only one-half inning will be played. We will play 5 innings.
Signup ends tomorrow night or Saturday morning.
