PSA: Silversun Pickups' new album was released today and is currently available (digitally) from Amazon for the lowlow price of $4! It's not as good as their last album, but it's nonetheless very awesome. Notably awesome tracks: "Panic Switch," which is the radio single, "The Royal We," and "Catch and Release."

not everyone who goes to a church thinks that god is a man on a cloud watching you like santa claus and that the earth is 6,000 years old and that everything in the bible is literally true or that the church is infallible or that every non-christian will burn in hell.

those that believe these things probably don't like george carlin imo

the big bang and everything else believed to have happened was created by god to keep us busy. the carbon dating, fossils, etc, we use to determine the age of the earth and the universe was created to give the appearance of billions of years of age.

also, those little quark things, they are made up of universes, and, similarly, our universe is one of those particles making up some other universes minute particles.
its weird.

I think George Carlin is amazing. I also can't get enough of Bill Maher.

I also believe in God and the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Carlin is great, you only like Maher because you are a dirty hippy liberal.

Bill Maher is funny but he panders too much to his audience, to the point where he has "changed" his political views to be in more accordance with his audience (though he does differ in some significant ways from the liberal lift). For instance if you listen to old Maher- he used to be against socialized medicine in any form. Now, while he doesn't outright claim he is supports it, he does seem to suggest he does.

Also his audience's decisions at when to clap and when not to tilts me.

quoted from wikipedia's page on Maher:

"He supported Bob Dole in the 1996 U.S. presidential election on the basis that Dole was a war hero[11] and the kind of "old-fashioned" Republican he admired. Although he told Libertarian Party candidate Harry Browne at the end of a Browne appearance on Politically Incorrect that Browne would have his vote, ultimately he said he instead voted for Ralph Nader in the 2000 U.S. presidential election."

I mean wtf. This is right up there with my ****** friend, who just discovered politics for the first time this election cycle, saying he doesn't like Mcain and Obama is a socialist so he was going to vote for Dennis Kucinich.

Yet I still find Maher funny and I really do agree with him on about 75% of issues.

Maher became and even bigger tool than he already was when he made his Michael Moore tribute movie.

Yeah there's plenty of god to fear when you see the misery of the world all right. For God's sake I'm hoping it doesn't exist cause if it does I'll kick it when I see it.

I didn't see the note until I had started driving, so I didn't get a chance to check if it was on the other cars and I had paid no attention to what anyone else was wearing.
