Ehow has a nice article on getting rid of fleas.

Anyone ever use a reel mower? Besides bathing Pepper, we cleared a path through 2 ft grass and overgrown shrubbery (Ni!) to the backyard pond with caveman tools.

for flea control, you want to get that advantage once a month stuff to put on the dogs neck. makes their blood poisonous to fleas and ticks.
do not buy the cheap knockoff once a month stuff as the active ingredient levels are too low to be effective.

then spray a powerful antiflea spray on all surfaces likely to harbor them. you may have to do this for up to 6 months since flea eggs can hibernate or whatever that long.

So, I am moving out in 6 days (Thank the heavens), and I don't know what to do with all of my crap. I have a dryer and a few pieces of furniture that I won't be able to get into student housing. My parents dont need the dryer, and I probably couldnt sell it. Any tips?

when we took kokirinho to see his great grandfather who is 91 or 92 or so, in a care home, the first time we went we were in this big lounge and we had the same conversation boy or girl, how old, how much did he weigh, with the same woman at least three times. After about time number three, GGF, who is more than a little deaf yells at us to ignore those women on the other side of the room they're totally bonkers. His memory's not so hot either - he remembers me and my wife (it's her grandfather) well for some reason, but forgets other people a lot. And when he first went into the home, they discovered after a week he was getting plastered by 10am because he kept on forgetting he'd just had a whisky, so poured himself another one, so there are upsides to memory loss imo.

You can sell the dryer if it works

Put it up on Craigslist/Kijiji and you can get a few bucks for it

If you just want to be a dink, put it up free if they'll take it away.

Then when it's gone, tell them you didn't get any money for it
