9...e6

Spoiler:
So I was extremely tempted to just play 9...Qd5 in this position. From what I can tell this forces the queen exchange which would further simplify our position and the resultant appears very drawish.

I would be perfectly happy with a draw as black but given the odd opening moves from IANAWW I do feel like I'm ahead so I might hold off on playing for a draw aorn.

9...e6 seems like a pretty natural move. If he doesn't move his Queen immediately I'll probably consider 10...Bd6 to scare it away but it does seem like aorn 10...Be7 is better as it doesn't block my queen or my rook from occupying the semi open D-File

there is a button to turn it off at the top right and just use it as a regular board with the bonus that it saves the variations you are analyzing on the right hand side

books only

I like that site because it has the move history and arc registry functions. --"variations"

Spoiler:
I'm guessing 10.b3 is preparing for 11.Bb2. This seems to leave d2 very weak tempting me quite a bit with 11...O-O-O, which of course puts a ton of pressure on the backward pawn.

Obviously 10...Bd6 gets in the way of this so 10...Be7 it is.

I have considered for a bit going immediately with 10...O-O-O but I think it likely transposes to a similar position and this gives me one move grace to potential castle king side if I change my mind.

Not for Lord:

Spoiler:
I must have been very tired last night. I think threatening his queen here and then Ng6 should save my rook at least. Its possible he goes for a bunch of exchanges sacrificing his knight and bishop for a dangerous position with his queen and bishop facing off against my king and one pawn in that corner, but I don't think its a game-ender.

Relieved!
