ESPN Fantasy draft as usual, live draft on a Sunday evening probably 24th or 1st. Looking for an even # of participants. Snake draft, probably similar format as previous years.

Stuck runs the league, these are my opinions:

I strongly suggest if you sign up, that you are present for the live draft. It doesn't take a very long time, an hour max, you can do practice drafts here to get a feel for it: http://www.espn.com/fantasy/hockey/

It's not as fun for others (or you) to play or play against auto selected teams, it's also frustrating when the auto drafter steals your pick.

At the very least you can preselect all of the players that you want to draft and the auto drafter will select those players for you, if you can't be at the draft, do that. Don't just let the bot do all the work by not doing anything for the draft.

If you sign up, you commit for the entire season, please do not abandon your team during the season. You can set your lineups weeks in advance. Injuries happen, so best to at the very least review your lineups weekly.

I hope we can use the same "league" this year so all of the history will be tracked and easy to look back on.

I'd be interested, as long as the draft doesn't start before 8:30pm Eastern on either of those days.

Is this for money and do you set your lineup every week or every day ? Never done NHL would do a free league where you set weekly

Free/fun league, can do undertitle stuff if the winner wants one.

The lineups are for each day but you can set each day weeks in advance, basically juggle people from bench to open slots when they are playing, save, good to go, just have to watch for injuries. It basically takes about 15 min max to set each days lineup for an entire week.

Here are the settings from last season, I anticipate no changes, worked very well.

Each game day each team can start (according to above from last season)
9 Forwards
5 Defense
1 Utility
2 Goalie
5 Bench slots (don't earn points)

Utility = A Forward or a Defense player. Basically a flex slot.

It's not uncommon and more the norm to not have a full roster playing each day, some days you will have a full roster having to choose between benched players and players in your active lineup. Other days you will have like 3 total players that are active that day. It all for the most part evens out for the entire week so one day you may have 3 players on your team, vs. 9 players on the team you are up against. Then the reverse happens another day that week. Mostly Saturdays you run into having full rosters vs. eachother where you have to choose between active players and benched players to start.

The ESPN NHL Fantasy site/app is very user friendly and self explanatory, basically we all draft 22 players consisting of forward/defense/2 goalies.

Once the draft is over it will be easier to answer any questions for the day to day setting line-up type questions.

Do a mock draft or two from the link above, you will catch on quickly to that aspect and it will be simple to help if you have any questions after that.

In the draft/mock draft you can sort each category by rankings/goals scored and all of the categories, you can sort by 2017 season stats or 2018 projected stats.

Here is what a scoreboard looks like at the end of the week, each week it is head 2 head, you vs another player.
