Canada's vaccine rules are a mess. Fine grained priority rules, difficult to understand, and different distribution methods per group - for example, seniors 55 - 70 can get a vaccine at a pharmacy, but everyone else has to go to a vaccine site. Supply is pretty limited, and distribution is still too slow

55 is a senior in canada?

I think I am of an age (55) where I can get the Pfizer (when it's my turn), but my younger wife cannot. Or something like that.

You would think that as an airport worker, dealing face to face with passengers every day, I would have some kind of priority. Not first, of course, but second or third, maybe.

Sneak across the border.

You do not get priority for being senior?

Listen to that humble brag.

We get it Eric, you managed to snag a younger lady for your bride...

Well, I wasn't going to rub it in, but she is 53.

For now, anyway. I'm probably safe, but there will almost certainly be some layoffs.

I think I need to be more senior. Or they are going by my mental/emotional age ~15.

It may also vary by province; I don't follow it that closely.

I haven’t tried to get a vaccine at all yet. Hopefully it’s something I can easily do next week.

even if it's not easy, you should say it's really easy, just to tilt the canadians

To be fair, once you are out of SoCal the air gets cleaner everywhere. We still have pollution and racism and other problems, but perhaps a bit less.

Not that easy to tilt, speaking for myself. It doesn't strike me that things are particularly slow. To some extent we are at the mercy of the drug companies and their ability to supply us. Whatever priority systems are in place, they are being followed. I don't mind that I'm not closer to the front, but I am a bit surprised.

Realistically, all countries are founded on genocide. For the most part, it's been that way for as long as people (not just **** sapiens) have been around.

haiti was founded by slaves who revolted against their masters

If I could pick my country I’d probably pick Switzerland.
04-05-2021 , 12:32 AM
If I was just three years younger I’d probably pick Spain. My sister and her friends stories from Barcelona are top shelf.

Spain is the only country I've been to twice (besides Canada, which was only 20 minutes away growing up).

If I had to be re-born from scratch but got to pick the country, that might be the one I'd pick.
