If top word is ours but 3+a few others I can’t connect aren’t ours so we can’t win then I prolly clue a lower blocker so you know I’m not going for the win

Like if we need 2 more and I clue the 5th word on the list then you know ours isn’t 1+2 since I didn’t clue 3 and you figure you can’t win bc I didn’t clue you to eliminate to our last 2 words so you’ll guess top word and pass

I mean I’d love an n-2 convention where if top word is ours and so is word 5 then I hard clue just word 4 and that tells you ours are words 1 and 5…or if I hard clue word 6 then you know it’s 1&7, etc

I really dislike the idea of winning just based on what word number you clued in an arbitrary list. You shouldn't really win the game until all the other words have been clued for imo.

Well sure, we don’t actually have an n-2 rule

But if the right words are 1&3 when you’ve been clued off all but 5 words, just cluing the wrong blockers (word 2) is fine and normal…shouldn’t lose just bc you can’t connect words 2/4/5 when only word 3 is a blocker

This is a game of communication and trying to be efficient…no need to have to clue off every single word

that's against the spirit of c0denames imo

why should it be easier for one spymaster because his words are higher alphabetically?

now, if the list is ordered for actual reasons (like a word could possibly be clued off, but it's tenuous. or you think it's likely to be the other team's word) then it seems fine

Well don’t order a list alphabetically

By the time you are making a list near the end, you should have some words that are higher or lower due to groupings not used or ease of cluing off of pairings, etc

Yea not once have I thought these lists are alphabetical, I always thought we did favorite candidates to least favorite(at least that's how I do it)

If neither team has been clued from a word, then alphabetical is really the only way to order them.

eye of sauron is a thing, right? i'm not that into lotr, but yeah i would think that's out, but not 100%

and idk if the elf lady is a princess either, so your order seems about right

i'm fine with guessing anything else if you see something you like. nothing stands out to me

I wasn't even thinking about the eye of sauron, was just cause there are a lot of eyes in the pic. And I can't remember if she's a princess or not, but I thought so. Or maybe a queen?
