Player Name: magic_gazz
Game Thread: Burn Notice
Reason: Failure to Participate/Sabotaging own team (#7189)
Action Taken: 2 week suspension (ends July 3rd, 2012)
Notes: Magic_gazz conceded and outed himself as a wolf under no pressure as a way to quit playing the game.
This directly hurts his team's chances of winning the game, is disrespectful to them, the game mod, and the other players, and also violates the rules about participation.
If you sign up for a game of werewolf, you should be prepared to play the game out no matter what your role is. If you are randed wolf, and reach a point where you think the game in unwinnable, but your teammates don't agree to concede, you can't unilaterally concede for them, or out yourself so you don't have to keep playing. This is poor sportsmanship and will not be tolerated.
If you truly feel you can't continue to participate, you must at the very minimum contact the game mod and request a sub. Using sub requests excessively to quit games you are no longer interested in, however, is also very poor etiquette, harmful to games, and won't be tolerated. But at the very least in a situation like this it would be preferable to simply outing oneself and quitting.
The point is: Don't sign up for a game unless you are going to play. Werewolf is a team game. Several dozen people may be playing, and their time and effort deserves respect. Don't quit games in a way that makes them worse for everyone else. Always talk to the game mod, request a sub. Realize that if you make a habit out of quitting games in the middle, you will soon not be allowed to play werewolf games in POG

Game Thread: WSoWW 1.a
Reason: Failure to particpate in f5, causing game to break.
Action Taken: 6 month probation (until January 15, 2013)
Discussion Thread: WW Court: Magic_gazz
The action taken here has less to do specifically with the occurence in this game and more with the general pattern of problems that have occured with magic. A WW Court was called to try to decide if further punishment was warranted, given that at the time this game happened, it wasn't known that the player was a magic_gazz gimmick.
The official decision is here:

Update: Subsequent to this thread magic was also modkilled for failure to participate in the Survivor (non-ww) game. He is now perma-banned rather then on suspension.
