Other than Well Named, who else are we about to "permanently" ban? - Page 17

This is some pretty underwhelming POG drama.

Secret identity stories are always promising, but the vilain has to appear truely unstable and manipulative. Also, there needs to be a depiction of some elaborate detective work that led to the unmasking. The Zelic case remains the reference for such stories, and this is nothing compared to it.

Also, a drama thread requires colorful insults. People have to take sides like their lives depend on it, and the debate has to spark HATE.

I consider myself a POG drama enthusiast with simple tastes and I give this thread only 3/10.

MY view on the matter:
let dice play - if you don't wanna play in the games your playing or have him in the games you're modding - fine.

Hindsight: I shouldn't have killed dice in F5.

If the mods haven't been good enough to keep him away from 2+2 on a permaban - and he's been here for a year showing no sign of previous bad character, then I say let him play.

I might be the only one, but hey...

It reads like a "squeaky wheel gets the grease" situation. She had people vouching for her and asking that she be allowed to return, and he didn't. FWIW I don't think she ban evaded either which is a better look in the lawyeryist sense.

People need to be given chances

Circumventing the ban is obv bad but he was obv correct that people harbor ill will for far too long.

Give him 3-6 months off

Then a short leash seems to be the play

Life's too short to be super serious about an online forum game.

This isn't really that difficult. If some people liked you, you get chance after chance after chance. If nobody liked you, then the mob has no room for you.
