I don't really feel like we need to do anything about luffy, or about banning deadposting, or really anything.

maybe tell luffy he should probably not self-vote at must lynch and if he made a habit of it then it would become problematic.

I feel like the only things that should be banned are actions that specifically ruin games so it's clear that ruining games is against the rules. banning dead posting makes it harder to ruin games but it's not exactly clear why, and when ppl get/or dont get don't banned for dead-posting non-game related stuff seems like it just opens up the door for mods to have to pass on obv non-infractionable offenses which just leads to more problems.

The only downside of banning unouted gimmicks would be that then I couldn't make nasty personal attacks on them during games without fear of reprisal.

I kind of doubt that the person who makes that dead post is likely to be affected

in any case, I have no problem with banning dead posting as a default, I never dead post. It just seems mostly unnecessary because the people who deadpost in an unfortunate way are the people least likely to notice the rule anyway, since if they noticed the rules, they wouldn't make unfortunate dead posts.
