I'd like to ban all deadposting, thoughts?

Making "dead posting is banned" the default rule seems good.

Should still leave it open to mods to allow it in their games if they carve it into their custom rules.

ya i agree with this because i know gabe quite enjoys deadposting in his games, within certain limits, so i wouldn't want to make a rule that alienates him, so we could go for something like:

'no more deadposting unless specifically allowed by your gamemod'

i challenge you to find a deadpost of mine that was bad

i like dead posts and i only make them when i feel the lols would outweigh me not posting the deadpost

if i can't think of anything good i just choose to not deadpost

leave it up to the game mods, i can respect their rules and have, but being able to deadpost is a RIGHT! if not otherwise stated

how about something along the lines of:

making a play(s) which appears to have a distinct strategic disadvangate will be looked at in post game and could be subject to... whatever

so like, self-voting = bad
shooting lock villagers as villa = bad

not so bad that they're auto lock bans, but enough that they should trigger some kind of look

luffy's self-vote lost his team the game and could be seen as sabotage
when looking at recent games it looks worse

but like, there are legitimate reasons to self-vote so I suggest not going too strict on it

and sure, get rid of dead posting... that's what dvc is for

the idea is we'll allow game mods to choose to allow them, but banning them generally seems to be good, especially with an influx of new bros and broettes

there's an element of "know it when we see it" in every really bad play / alleged act of sabotage

here he literally posted an "I don't give a **** GIF" and said "wolves have already won," so I mean, it wasn't a game-winning gambit by any stretch

luffy's play could've been really elite if he voted someone else right after voting himself... risking the maj lynch, but drawing out wolves voting for the win

I would agree with this, but I've seen Sun MAJ himself at f5 in a turbo as a villager (with 1 wolf) and defend it. I've also seen gambit MAJ himself as seer in a turbo and also defend it.

So good luck with that. No matter how terrible it is, somebody here defends self-voting.

That was bad but claiming seer without being seer being banned is LOL. Wolves have every right to counter-claim and villagers can FPS all they want.

I'd be fine with this also. I would say to allow it in turbos just because there is no mod. If the POG Mods want to crack down on it I would also hope they crack down on all borderline crap that goes unpunished in turbos (editing/peeks in titles/talking about PMs, etc).
