YG, you are talking about this as if she has somehow diminished someone's POG experience since coming back. It appeared to me, and to some degree us, in retrospect, that Crossnerd was permabanned out of exhaustion with dealing with moderation issues relating to her. Obviously she broke 12366146714271435 forum rules during the period in question, so we're not in any way criticizing that ban. If that starts to happen again we won't even have a conversation about managing it, because it will simply cease with all haste.

Crossnerd was not unbanned because of some imaginary lobby that came to her defense. There was no lobby that we cared about (there really wasn't one at all unless you think we're like, combing the PUB for comments about Crossnerd, which we are not).

One of our goals is to maintain the POG community. Another goal is to try to grow the community. Another goal is to attempt to diminish the negativity in POG - some of you will laugh at me being one of the people working on that, but then you'd be the same people who were convinced that modding me would be the end times - and thereby to make POG more welcoming to new players.

When Crossnerd was banned it is fair to say that POG was in one of its all-time high drama stages. It is also fair to say that POG was in one of its all-time low drama stages when we unbanned Crossnerd. We unbanned her confident that we would be able to maintain the new, better POG environment whether Crossnerd - who mods games and participates in the forum - was here or not.

On top of that, people have a way of learning from mistakes and getting older and generally figuring things out. Her PMs to us were contrite and made it very clear that she wanted to participate and not be a problem. Given that we collectively took her PMs to be genuine, we made the decision we made. We have been pleased to see that we were "right" - so far - about this sometimes highly contentious issue.

It has been, in point of fact, a really low stress non-event for almost everyone. Giving it this much explanation is beyond what is needed, but I tire of the impression that something untoward happened to get her unbanned.

So that's what happened. It has nothing to do with thediceman. Feel free to discuss this as well, but if anyone starts personally attacking Crossnerd, there will be bans. If she starts personally attacking anyone, there will be a ban. This is because personally attacking people while discussing larger issues is not something that you're allowed to do.

the real reason crossnerd was unbanned is because i like her and that i told her if she bucked me for even a moment she would be straight back out on the streets again, of course she immediately rolled over like the timid little kitten she is

He got banned on other websites though and rejoined with names like metsandfinsfan shortline42 and amplify and got them banned as welled (on bgg I believe)
