Yeah, when I figure out all the scheduling, it will all end up in here (& in the actual threads for the different games).

You can still enter the Thunderdome by giving 4 correct answers (unless you enter in the next 2 minutes, then only 3 answers, & can give the 4th at the top of the hour).

I think my current plan for scoring is to offer 10 points for each entrant into an event, and then distribute them based on results as I see fit for a particular event.

For example, if 30 people play the SHEEP, there would be 300 total points available.

Maybe a good breakdown of those points would be:

1st: 25% (75 points)
2nd: 15% (45 points)
3rd: 10% (30 points)
4th: 7% (21 points)
5th: 5% (15 points)
6th-10th: 3% each (9 points)
11th-20th: 1% each (3 points)
21st-30th: .03% each (1 point)

So it might not actually add up, but close enough.

A simpler scoring method would be 1 point for each player you finish ahead of in a game. Maybe a bonus for the actual winner.

How would you score a team event, like codenames?

Eh, I'd rather reward more points for excellence, as well as some for participation.

Split 1st & 2nd, so 20% each I'd assume. Unless you mean the long-list Codenames, which each winning team will probably get some random # of points for each game if there are multiple games.

Also, Werewolves Within thread is up.

Don't let the name scare you. It's a very similar time commitment level to a lot of the other games like Chameleon, Decrypto, etc., and is more similar to those than traditional WW.

I've never played either, but if you/anyone wants to add new games to the Pogcathlon & they are the type of things you can both organize & play, that would be completely fine

So here's the current leader board. I feel like the scoring system needs tweaking still. I don't love how flat the points are (e.g. 11 through 20 being worth the same), & it might be a bit top heavy. Not sure.

New scoring system (yes, it adds up to around 150% & not 100%, but that's ok).

Entrants x 10 = points available, & then multiply by the # for the position (or the range of %s if ties).

Also, will change the participation bonus to a plus 5. You guys should be playing every event

& all scores will be rounded to 2 decimal places. No one needs more decimal places in their lives.
