Yup, especially right after the amazing audition scene with Naomi Watts and Chad Everett. Lynch has gotten a lot of mileage out of early 60s pop songs (Blue Velvet ldo). I think I've said this before, but he's definitely the best director to have multiple movies turn on scenes in which a heavily made up character lip-synchs a Roy Orbison song
