like imo if it just became the new meta that no one ever left peeks (or any seer cover at all) d1 i think the village win% would increase by a lot

It's easier as actual seer to hide in the open by leaving blatant peeks, than being all awkward about people and leaving hinty posts. And so if you're going to play seer like that, you have to play fake seer like that. I'd guess that's how it developed. I think it depends on your posting style though and should be ok to mix up too.

good game

if sun got lynched that day instead of me, i think it's possible i could have survived. but the clears both wanted me dead (and the shc) so it was a tough battle no matter what

me voting udc forced udc to vote me which sucked for several reasons.

i think if cc votes sun instead of me or if sun moved to lb like i was trying to get him to do i dont have to vote udc and udc could end up looking worse for not voting me

but ud was villagery overall regardless

honestly i think we had a chance if not for 2 perfect peeks by siu. Especially the IRTM peek def changed the game. once i knew that peek i knew we were prob toast. its why i even said sigh in the thread lol

was fun

thanks for modding bird

to expand on the risk/reward, if you die n1 as seer, the value of that single peek is negligible so if not leaving the peek until later helps you to survive longer more often, it's more than worth it

yeah our n1 seer hunt was hard. i think based on several things like wrong peeks and tells, it had to be jmurder kami or siu. and SIU was too blatanbt to be seer so i discounted him almost completely lol

filthy sent i n a kami kill and i changed it to jmurder. none of us were confident he was seer, but he had seer equity at least, amd shcing kami was fine overall for us at that point so it made the most sense to me. kami peeked siu which i thought seemed near impossible and i didnt want siu cleared cause i could tell his reads were bad

ooops

oh and whoever said (maybe irtm or charry) that i liekly didnty correct the vote count on purpose so they wouold maj, im insulted

I've been killed as seer not leaving a peek before. It works both ways. The not leaving a peek idea isn't exactly unknown by wolves. Someone who doesn't leave a peek can both 1) still be the seer and 2) doesn't clear or implicate anyone.

i once peeked a wolf night 1 and didnt leave the peek, so i made a bunch of posts showing people i def couldnt have peeked and hoped if i died n1 people would figure it out

its touigh being seer in a vanilla 13er

siu had the right idea. he outed clearly day 2 with a ton of value. he saw little cover was left and his peeks were valuable enough at that point there was no reason for him to be cute. he did well

yeah, and as a wolf, I liked killing people n1 who hadn't left a peek but could still be seer

a lot of things are double edged and there's a lot of value in mixing things up

when I became too known for not leaving peeks, I started leaving peeks more

I take responsibility for this. I *almost* posted, when I posted my notes on the vote counter, for people to be careful with Doctor Zeus-- but then I didn't-- because there are like a dozen different ways to do his name and I put a bunch into the counter but I also did it sort of quickly and some people are always problematic and I knew he could be one.
And then normally if I'm around and I see a weird spelling for a vote I'll just update the counter but I missed all of it.

Majs are typically to speed up the game imo. Doing it in 12/12 just means people still spend a 24 hr cycle and doesn't speed up the game. Kinda silly. If you were playing a 36/12 or some longer length having maj would make sense as it shifts the game forward (a few) days IRL.

Turbos also has a similar affect as it is a 6 minute wait no matter when the day phase ends.

I know mods that will still have maj end day, I wouldn't do it except in lylo scenarios personally.

Congrats to town for winning. Fun read

The Majority lynch can also help the village in situations when there is an outed (or obvious) wolf that is known for being good at wolfing. I think it is often helpful to MAJ early to get such a player out of wolfchat as soon as possible.

yes, exactly

i know there are logistical reasons to have it but I would say there are just as many strategic reasons introduced to the game with maj being in effect that it isn't purely a "speed the game up" mechanic

I'm sorry if I insulted you. While I think my speculation was reasonable (and 100% valid) it shouldn't play into the game. So I'm sorry.

Yeah I felt really bad for voting you off. It was a tough spot but the way things played out at EOD it looked like you were going down and I was afraid if I didn't vote you we'd never have enough distance and just be completely wrecked. You played fantastic though. You and filthy both left enough cover that it obviously took luck a bit to make a determination so thank you for playing so well!

It wasn't at all part of my thought process in the F3 how much beratement I'd get from you (and others) if I voted UDC and was wrong.
Gg. He was a really obvious villager I just always clear cc. I'm going to work on it.
